"yet I tell you, from the sad knowledge of my older experience, that to every one of you a day will most likely come when sunshine, hope, presents and pleasure will be worth nothing to you in comparison with the unattainable gift of your mother's kiss." children's media

Somehow, I've moved into the realm of children's media, which is fine but odd, since I think of myself as a book person (and a nineteenth century book person to boot).

I discovered tonight, via cnn's brief report on the Shorty Award finalists (for best Twitterers), that Sesame Street has a Twitter feed. Though I kind of hate Twitter, I have an account (primarily to follow sockington and the sockelganger), so I checked out the Sesame Street feed. And it is AWESOME. Posts by various Muppets, of course. Like this one, from Grover:
"Why is it that we monsters only put on clothing when we are going to bed or going swimming???"

I highly recommend it.

for the record, my own Twitter feed, which I have actually been updating of late, is here.
